Buying

Can I find a piece for a particular delivery date?

Yes. Open the marketplace filters and choose Estimated arrival by (UTC). You’ll see physical pieces whose longest current preparation time plus the maker’s stated standard transit time fits your date. Digital downloads, and pieces without a standard transit range, are left out of this filter.

The estimate counts business days in UTC from today and skips weekends. Holidays and carrier delays are not included. For a made-to-order piece, the listing’s own lead time is used when the maker has set one. To narrow the results for your address, also choose Ships to and In stock only.

An estimate in search isn’t a delivery guarantee. Check the destination and shipping option before checkout, because an upgraded option can have a different transit range. Your order saves the estimate for the preparation time and shipping option you chose.

How can I learn who made a piece?

A listing can include the maker’s own production disclosure: made by them, designed by them, sourced vintage, or sourced craft supplies. Makers can describe their process and name any production partners and what each one contributed. These details are public once the listing is published.

Production disclosures are self-reported and are not a verified-maker badge. If a listing doesn’t include one, that tells you nothing either way about how the piece was made. Founder recognition and payment-account checks are separate from any review of how a piece is produced.

Read the description, materials, measurements and process details, and use Ask the maker if something isn’t clear. If a description looks misleading, use the listing’s report link. A report asks staff to take a look. It doesn’t mean a rule was broken.

How do shared gift lists work?

In Finds & lists, start a private draft from pieces on the marketplace and set how many of each you’d like. Share a version when it’s ready. Later edits stay private until you share again. Making a list private, or archiving it, turns off its link. Keep addresses and private contact details out of shared descriptions and notes.

People buy gifts through the product page. They can then choose to link one of their own verified paid purchases to your list. Only the product and quantity are shared, and the buyer’s identity and order details stay private. Counts can’t go above what was bought or what you asked for. A pending refund pauses a count and a full refund removes it, and a buyer can withdraw a count they shared. Delivery addresses are handled privately at checkout. Gift lists aren’t stored-value gift cards.

How do I find pieces and makers?

Search by a piece’s title, a category or a shop name. You can also browse categories and subcategories, switch between New, Popular and Trending, and set a price range.

Open a maker’s profile to see their shop, posts and collections. Only published products show up in marketplace search.

How do I buy a piece?

Open a product to see its photos, description, availability, preparation time and shop policy. If it comes in options, pick one that’s available, add any personalization the maker asks for, and choose your delivery country and quantity.

When the shop takes payments, sign in, or verify your email to check out as a guest on an eligible physical listing. Digital files, commissions, offers, coupons, reference photos and account options need you to sign in. At checkout, check the delivery address, shipping and tax before you pay.

You can browse a published product even while its shop is still setting up payments or taking a break. A price marked From is the lowest available option price.

Can I buy without creating an account?

Yes, on eligible physical listings, once the shop takes payments. Verify an email address you control with a six-digit code and accept the current terms. This doesn’t create an account, and the verification lasts one day in that browser.

Guest checkout uses the regular listing price. Coupons, shop offers, bag checkout, digital downloads, commissions, reference-photo personalization and saved addresses need a signed-in account. As a guest you can still choose physical options, text personalization, and the listing’s shipping and gift options.

A private purchase link lets you claim a paid order, once the payment provider confirms it, by signing in with the email you used to buy. Claims expire after one year, so keep the link private. Claiming adds the purchase to your account for messages, support cases, returns and eligible reviews, and keeps the original purchase details. A checkout return page on its own doesn’t confirm payment.

Who ships my order?

The maker packs and ships your order. Each product shows the countries the maker ships to, the shipping rate, and their preparation time in business days.

Preparation time doesn’t include carrier transit time. Open Purchases and select your order to see its status and any tracking the maker has added.

How do I ask for help with an order?

Open Purchases, select the order, and message the maker or send a help request. For help from the marketplace, open Help & reports, choose the paid order, describe the problem and add links to any evidence.

Your support case keeps replies and its status in one place. You can appeal a resolved case with an explanation and evidence. The maker’s shipping, cancellation and return policies are saved with your order. Opening a case doesn’t issue a refund automatically.

When can I leave a review?

You can review a verified paid purchase once it’s marked delivered. If it hasn’t been marked delivered, reviews open 30 calendar days after the end of the preparation window saved with the order, which is counted in business days. Open the purchase to give one to five stars and an optional written review.

There’s one review per order, and you can edit an eligible review. You can’t write or edit a review while a refund is pending or after a refund, but a refund after you post doesn’t remove the review. Shop ratings combine verified purchase reviews, and makers can add a public reply.

How do I find a piece or a gift?

Search titles, makers, categories and tags. Suggestions show real public pieces and makers, and can offer spelling corrections. Category pages and gift ideas group pieces by occasion and budget, and say so when nothing matches yet.

Filters cover budget (including the buyer fee), destination, stock, free shipping, ratings, materials, maker location, color, size, personalization, and ready-to-ship or made-to-order work. Color and size have to match a real option combination. Prepared-by dates cover the maker’s preparation in UTC business days, and carrier transit takes extra time.

Can I use a coupon or shop sale?

Enter a maker’s coupon code while you review checkout. Shops can also run automatic sales. The preview checks the piece, option, quantity, dates, minimum purchase and any usage limits. A coupon you enter replaces an automatic sale, and discounts don’t stack.

The buyer fee is calculated on the discounted item subtotal. Your price is locked in when the inventory is reserved. If an unpaid reservation is cancelled, the coupon use is released, but a completed purchase still counts toward the limit after a refund.

Can I save pieces and follow makers?

Use the heart on a product to save it. Saved pieces are in Saved, where you can also sort them into collections.

Follow makers from the maker directory, and turn on their new-release updates to see new work when you come back. From a public page you can also subscribe to a maker’s release summaries or to restock alerts for a piece. In Activity, choose which optional emails you want. Release, restock and review emails are only sent if you opt in and email delivery is turned on.

How do custom commissions work?

Choose a maker and send a commission request with your idea, budget, deadline and an optional reference image. The maker can reply with a quote that includes a price, details and a delivery date.

Accepting a quote records the agreement but doesn’t charge you. The maker then prepares a private listing for the agreed work, and you review the recorded quote and checkout details before paying. Only you can see and buy that listing.

Once payment is confirmed, the maker can send a proof. Approve the latest proof, or ask for an agreed revision in the commission conversation. Approving gives permission to start production. When the maker marks production complete, that doesn’t confirm delivery.

Where are my purchased digital downloads?

An instant digital listing describes its files and how you can use them before checkout. Once payment is confirmed, open Downloads in your account to get the file version recorded with your purchase. Made-to-order digital work has no instant bundle: its files appear after the maker records a private delivery for your order. Digital files are PDF or ZIP.

Your purchased files are private to you. Access pauses during a payment dispute or a pending refund, and ends after a full refund. If the maker changes the listing later, your order keeps the version you bought.

Downloading doesn’t transfer copyright. Follow the maker’s license and keep your own copy of the files you need. If a file doesn’t match the listing, contact the maker through your order.

Can I order custom digital work?

Look for a digital listing marked Made to order. Before you buy, read the expected processing time in business days, what the maker needs from you, the promised PDF or ZIP formats, and the license. If the listing asks for personalization text, put your brief there. Those terms and your brief stay with the purchase, even if the maker changes the listing later.

You need to be signed in, and you buy custom digital work directly from its listing, one order at a time. There’s no shipping address or shipping charge, and no files are available at purchase. Once payment is confirmed, the order waits for the maker’s private file delivery. Check Purchases or Downloads for delivered files, and message the maker through the order.

Each recorded delivery must include every promised format. A delivery records the maker’s work. It doesn’t record your approval or guarantee a particular result. If something doesn’t match what you agreed, use order messages or open a support case. Reviews open after the first recorded file delivery. File access still depends on payment disputes and refunds.

How do returns and split shipments work?

Open the order and request a return for the items and quantities you want to send back. The maker can approve or decline with a recorded explanation, and can give you a private return address if one is needed. Return instructions and replies stay with the order.

A return request or approval doesn’t issue a refund. Makers request refunds separately, and the order shows the result once the payment provider confirms it.

If an order ships in more than one parcel, the maker can record which items each parcel contains and its tracking. One parcel marked delivered doesn’t mark the whole order delivered. Contact the maker if the recorded contents or address need fixing.

Selling

How do I start a shop?

Create a Creative account, or turn on Creative tools from your existing customer account. Guided setup walks you through your profile, first product, shop details, shipping profile and public shop page.

Drafts stay private until you publish them. Products and your profile are published separately, so check both before you share your shop.

What’s the difference between saving and publishing?

Saving a product draft in Studio keeps it private. To publish, open the draft in the Creative dashboard, choose stock and a shipping profile, then publish it to marketplace browse and search. A shop can have up to 500 listings.

Later edits to a draft stay private until you publish it again. Pausing a published product keeps your saved draft. You can select several published products in the dashboard to pause, activate or change their shipping profile together. Use as template starts a new private draft.

How do I set up and share my shop page?

Add your name, bio, portrait, an optional location and website, and a unique handle. Publish products and create a public profile link from your profile’s sharing controls. In shop settings you can add a banner, an announcement, up to six featured pieces, eight product sections and eight FAQs.

Changes to your profile, posts and collections stay private until you update the shared version. Your handle and saved shop settings update publicly right away. Visitors can search your published work and browse your sections. Your shipping and return addresses never appear on your shop page.

How do I upload product photos?

Use the photo picker, or drop photos into a listing’s image area. PNG, JPEG, WebP and supported HEIC or HEIF still photos up to 10 MB all work. Each listing has a cover plus nine more gallery photos. Photos are resized and optimized before upload, and embedded metadata is removed. The editor tells you if a file is unsupported or too large.

Supported HEIC and HEIF photos are converted in your browser before upload, and only the resized JPEG or WebP is stored. Image sequences, files with several images inside, AVIF and video aren’t supported. If a conversion fails or takes too long, export a fresh JPEG or PNG from your photo app and try again.

Bulk upload starts several private drafts from photos and applies the details they share. Check each title, price, category and description before saving and publishing. You can reorder and remove gallery photos in the draft editor.

Can I bring my Etsy listings with me?

Yes. Export your listing information from Etsy, then choose Import CSV in Studio. You can map a catalog from another source too. Each import takes up to 500 rows in a CSV under 2 MB, with prices in USD and HTTPS image links.

Check the field mappings, errors, duplicate titles or SKUs, and confirm you have permission to use the photos and text. Then choose which valid rows to save as private drafts. Nothing is published automatically. Options, shipping settings and reviews need to be set up separately. You can export a CSV or JSON backup of your catalog from the dashboard.

How do I add options and personalization?

In the product draft editor, add variants for choices like size, color or finish. Each variant can have its own price, stock, SKU and image. Published stock is the total across variants, and buyers pick an available option before checkout.

Turn on personalization to collect a short note from the buyer. You can make it required and set a maximum length. You can also add materials and other attributes, search tags, and ready-to-ship or made-to-order details. Save the draft and publish it again for the changes to show.

Can I pause my shop while I’m away?

Turn on vacation mode in shop settings. Your work stays visible with a notice, but new purchases and commission requests are paused. You can add a message and an expected return date.

You still need to look after existing orders and conversations. The return date is a guide only, so turn vacation mode off yourself when you’re ready for new orders.

How do I reply to a shop review?

Open your profile and select Reviews. Each verified purchase review has a Reply as seller option. Your reply appears publicly with your shop name, next to the buyer’s review.

You can edit your reply, but you can’t change a buyer’s rating or text. If you have a concern about the marketplace, use Help & reports instead of sharing private order details in a public reply.

How do I create a sale or coupon?

Open Sales & coupons in your Creative dashboard. Choose a coupon code or an automatic sale, a percentage or fixed amount off each item, the dates, the pieces it applies to, a minimum subtotal, and optional limits on total and per-buyer use.

Reserved and paid orders both count toward limits. Prices on existing orders stay the same if you edit or pause an offer. A maximum discount is rounded down per item, so a purchase never goes over the cap. Discounts come out of your item revenue. Paid promotions are a separate advertising purchase.

How do I set shipping rates and preparation time?

Create a shipping profile in your Creative dashboard. Choose where you ship, a default free or flat standard rate, a charge for each additional item, and your preparation days. You can add up to ten country zones, each with its own standard rate and a free-shipping threshold based on merchandise only. Each country belongs to one zone, and other countries you ship to use the default rate. Prices are in USD. Shipping upgrades keep the same prices and stated transit ranges across the whole profile. Gift-wrap options work with supported direct checkout.

Pick the profile when you publish a physical product. Preparation is counted in UTC business days, and carrier transit comes on top. You buy postage and arrange delivery yourself. Tracking you add to an order records the details you enter. It isn’t checked live with the carrier.

Where do I manage orders and sales?

Your Creative dashboard shows orders, sales totals, product performance, orders that need attention and low-stock products. Use the date controls for sales and the status controls for the order list.

Open an order to update fulfillment, add tracking, send messages, handle help requests, write private notes or print a packing slip. Sales figures don’t include your production and packaging costs.

Accounts

Can I invite a friend and see purchase milestones?

Your personal invitation link is in Finds & lists. For a signup to count, the new member has to accept your invitation before creating an account, verify their email in the same browser, and confirm within seven days. Existing accounts, and your own, can’t count as new signups. You only see a total of verified signups, never anyone’s email or identity. You can pause your link at any time.

Purchase milestones count your settled orders and how many different makers you’ve bought from. A grouped checkout counts as one purchase. A pending refund pauses credit and a full refund removes it. Invitations and milestones don’t come with cash, store credit, discounts or any other purchase benefit.

Can I choose whether browsing is used for analytics?

Yes. Optional marketplace analytics stays off until you allow it on your device, and the privacy control explains the choice. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, optional reporting stays off. Turning it off clears the temporary device session used for future reporting.

If you allow it, activity is grouped with a temporary browser session and daily pseudonymous hashes. It covers piece and shop activity, search terms, and referral domains or campaign labels. Account emails, shipping addresses, full referral URLs and raw IP addresses are never included. Please keep personal details out of search terms and campaign labels. Raw activity is kept for 90 days, and search or referral groups with fewer than three sessions stay private. Essential order and account records work either way.

How do I sign in?

Enter your email in the sign-in form and ask for a code. Use the code from that email to sign in. If it doesn’t arrive, check your junk or spam folder.

Use the same email each time to get back to your account and workspace. There’s no password to create. Never share your sign-in code with anyone.

What is a Creative account?

A customer account can browse, save, follow makers and manage purchases. A Creative account adds the seller tools: publishing products, setting up a shop and the Creative dashboard.

Turning on Creative tools is a step you choose to take. You can still browse and buy from a Creative account.

Fees & payments

How do full and partial refunds work?

A maker can request a refund on a paid order when the payment provider allows it. The order records each attempt as pending, confirmed or failed, along with the amount still available to refund. A request isn’t a confirmed refund.

A completed full refund returns everything the buyer paid, including the marketplace fee. A partial refund returns the confirmed amount shown in the history. That amount doesn’t automatically say which items, shipping, tax or fee were refunded.

An active payment dispute can limit refunds and pause fulfillment or digital access while the provider looks into the payment. Use the order conversation or a support case to talk about a problem. The payment provider decides formal payment disputes.

What fees do buyers and makers pay?

There are no listing fees and no seller commission on the item price. Makers keep 100% of their item price. Shipping, tax and the maker’s own costs are separate.

Buyers pay a 5% marketplace fee, which is already included in the product prices they see. Shipping and any tax are shown separately at checkout. Optional advertising is a separate purchase.

When can a shop accept payments?

Two things need to be true: marketplace payments are open, and the maker has finished setting up their connected payment account. Checkout on each product shows whether that shop can take an order.

You can set up your profile, products and shop page before payments open. Publishing a product doesn’t turn on checkout or payouts by itself.

How do paid promotions work?

Promotions are optional, prepaid advertising for an eligible product or shop. You choose a fixed total and a length. A campaign starts once its payment is confirmed, and it never renews automatically.

Ads rotate through labeled spots on the home page. A higher daily rate gets more weight, but views, clicks and sales aren’t guaranteed. Pausing an ad doesn’t extend its end date.
