How Handfair works

Independent makers list and ship their own work. Prices already include the 5% buyer fee, and makers keep 100% of their item price.

Checkout and payouts aren’t open yet. You can browse published products and set up a shop. Each listing shows whether its shop can take payment.

Buying

  1. Find a piece

    Browse categories, search for a piece or a maker, and save the ones you like. A maker’s profile shows the rest of their work.

  2. Check the details

    Read the description, availability, preparation time, shipping and shop policy. Prices already include the 5% buyer fee.

  3. Check out

    When the shop takes payments, choose your country and quantity. Sign in, or verify your email to check out as a guest on an eligible physical listing. Review shipping and tax, then pay.

  4. Get your order

    The maker ships physical orders. Instant digital files appear in Downloads after payment is confirmed. Made-to-order digital files appear when the maker records a private delivery, and the processing terms stay with your order. Follow the order in Purchases and message the maker if you need help.

Selling

  1. Create your profile

    Create a Creative account, or turn on Creative tools from an existing account. Add a photo, a bio and a unique handle.

  2. Add your pieces

    Start with private drafts. Add a price, photos, description, stock, shipping destinations, preparation time and shop policy.

  3. Publish

    Publish products to browse and search when they’re ready. Your public profile is shared separately, and later draft edits stay private until you publish again.

  4. Sell and ship

    Finish payment setup before you take orders. You pack and ship your work, answer buyers and keep 100% of your item price.

Good to know

Makers ship their own orders

Each maker sets destinations, rates and preparation time. Preparation is counted in business days and doesn’t include carrier transit time.

Custom work starts with a request

Send a commission request with your idea, budget, deadline and a reference image. Accepting a quote doesn’t charge you. You review the private listing and pay separately, then approve a proof or ask for an agreed revision before production.

Reviews come from paid orders

Eligible verified paid purchases can get a rating, a written review and an optional photo. Makers can reply publicly. Your order shows when a review is available.

Help starts from your order

Open a purchase to message the maker or ask for help with a cancellation, a return or another problem. The shop’s policies are saved with the order.

Shipping, tax and a maker’s own costs are separate from the marketplace fee, and optional advertising costs extra. Read the fees and selling policy.
